Since March 09, 2018, Umurage Communication for Development has been engaged in another set of road show campaigns to put emphasis on messages delivered through Umurage drama. This is still in collaboration with different stakeholders, partners and sponsors. The march 2018 road show campaigns have targeted the districts of Muhanga, Gicumbi, Gasabo, Gakenke, Bugesera, Rulindo and Kayonza.

For the whole period between 09 March and 30, 2018, UmC will carry on messages related to Child protection, GBV, reproductive health, nutrition and family planning.
One of the parents in Shyogwe sector Laetitia Mukashema who has a history of living with hash parents testified how this had also led her to give little attention to her child until she started changing, owing to messages passed through different channels include the Umurage drama.
She said “I found myself guilty after listening to the drama, especially messages on child protection and in my case; I realized my child had started losing a chance of growing well under a protection of a responsible parent”.

According to one of the writers of Umurage drama Terance Muhirwa, such campaigns are usually meant to interact with listeners for feed backs about the drama, reinforce messages to people who still have a room for questions and gauge impact, based on how many people prove to be regular listeners.

This month’s campaign is also expected to reach the districts of Rulindo, Bugesera, and Kayonza after having covered Muhanga, Gicumbi, Gasabo and Gakenke.
